Insecure connections are set to "Preferred". I did not have to change any settings on my Plex server. "Allow Insecure Connections" to "on same network as server" (this was already set, I did not have to change it)Ĭhanged from "Never" to "On same network as server" I set the following (only had to change 1) I always thought it was an audio problem from different downloaded episodes, or shows, man was I wrong! On the Plex server dashboard, just says it's trying to play direct. I have tested this with the same show and episode(s). My Ex has a Samsung UA65NU8000 TV, and some titles play, and some don't with the exact described issue above, just loads the player and eventually times out.
Not sure which of the solutions actually fixed the problem, you might want to try doing all of them. 
Lastly, I read somewhere (but I can't find it now) to try enabling or disabling direct stream. I also tried doing this together with the first solution. Allowed insecure connections both TV client and both plex servers. Eventually it goes to the playback error message. 
But when I click on the video, it goes to the player but just endlessly tries to load. I can find the server, and find the videos.
- Samsung TV doesn't play files on my OMV-NAS. plays files properly if it's getting it from the windows pc. This was my original plex server before I made a new NAS server with OMV. I have another Plex server running on my windows pc. I have a Plex server running on OMV on a separate pc/nas.
